Real Data Entry... Is It A Scam??

In March 2009 I signed up for the free trial week of Real Data Entry work. They sent me URL's for websites and I filled out a review form for each one. Reviewing them included checking their grammar and spelling. I was given no directions or instructions. Just read these and fill out the forms.

The week went well and I decided to sign up for the program. Here is how it works... for $19.99 you can be part time and get one assignment a day for 100 days.. For $49.99 you can be full time and get 3-5 assignments a day for 10 weeks. You are paid $10 per assignment. There is no time limit on turning in your assignments. Once you have done 100 assignments and they owe you $1000 you can apply for payment.

At that point they inform you that they weill check your work and pay you in 2 to 4 weeks. Payment is made by check or through PayPal.

At the time you paid your set up fee through ClickBank, which gave me a certain amount of reassurance since I know that they enforce vendor response to their customers and require a money back guarantee. This gave me a feeling of security that this company was reputable... not a big feeling of security, but a bit.

I paid my fee and assignments started coming. I found the terms of service and made every effort to follow the sketchy instructions that were given. I turned in assignments for two weeks and then sent in a support ticket asking that someone check my assignments and give me feedback on my work.

Within a day I had a response that they did not do that but that they had briefly looked over my work and warned me that all responses must be made in complete sentences. I wrote back asking for examples of how I could do that for the grammar and spelling corrections. They responded that grammar and spelling corrections did not have to be given in complete sentences. Their responses were not exactly rude, but not exactly helpful either.

I turned in assignment after assignment until I reached the $1000 limit. I requested payment.

Their response was that they would review my work and notify in two to four weeks when my payment had been processed.

I waited..... Two weeks.... Three weeks.... Four weeks... No pay.

I turned in a support ticket... That it had been past four weeks since they had confirmed receipt of my payment request and that I had rent and utilities due and I need to know when I was being paid.

Their auto responder informed me that they had received my ticket and would reply withing two business days. That was Thursday, May 28, 2009.

There was no response on Friday and none over the weekend or on Monday June 1, 2009. Today, Tuesday, June 2, I submitted another support ticket with the same request. I received the same autoresponder reply that they would reply within two business days....

So, are they a scam? I don't know. I guess I will find out within two business days....

I will keep you posted.

  2. Just wanted to let you know that this site is a scam. I did the same as you did. When I reached the amount I didn't hear anything, so wrote to them. I finally got a response saying that they were behind on the amount of people who had requested payment. Gave them some time and heard nothing. Finally wrote again and they said they had sent me an email saying I was not getting any money from them as I had not followed instructions. As you can imagine I was mad. I had not been given any instructions. And they said since even one was done incorrectly it was all voided. I could redue them but I would have had to kept all them myself. They would not be able to send them to me again. So all the work I did for them, I did not get a penny but I lost because I paid the fee at the beginning.

So I suggest to stay away from them.
